The Scotland & Medicine Partnership was established in 2004 to promote Scotland’s outstanding collections that have connections with medicine, health and the body. Nineteen organisations make up the Partnership and include many of Scotland’s leading museums, galleries, archives and university special collections. The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) is the lead partner.
Since 2004 the Partnership has encouraged people of all ages and from all walks of life to be informed, inspired and involved in Scotland’s medical heritage. The Partnership has successfully delivered two major touring exhibitions; Anatomy Acts and Human Race as well as Scotland and Medicine in Print online exhibition.
The Partnership continues to build excitement and interest in Scotland’s remarkable medical collections through this website and future initiatives.
