Sibbald's life spanned a very eventful period in Scottish History which included parliamentary union.
Drawing on archival and printed sources the Sibbald Librarian of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh will outline Sibbald's achievements and failures as a doctor, geographer, bibliophile and gardener during some very turbulent times.
