The Zoology Museum has the only large, international collection of zoological specimens in the north of Scotland, including the University of Aberdeen's collection of comparative anatomy. The collection is worldwide in scope and amongst the 75,000 specimens are skeletons prepared by Professor John Struthers, Chair of Anatomy from 1863-1869, a cod skull once in the possession of Robert Knox, and a series of historical models used in the teaching of comparative anatomy.
