Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design
A faculty of the University of Dundee, the Duncan of Jordanstone is visually based offering access to contemporary visual artists, designers and architects. The pride themselves on being ‘visual thinkers’ exploring creative ideas through the practice of fine art, design, television & imaging and architecture - creativity which comes in all forms, using techniques that are hundreds of years old or with new innovations being developed today.
Gateway Galleries
The Gateway Galleries show treasures from the University of St Andrews museum collections. The temporary exhibition gallery features regularly changing exhibitions on a variety of themes, including contemporary Scottish art, photography and anatomy and pathology.
Lamb Gallery
The Lamb Gallery is run by University of Dundee Museums Services where regular exhibitions show a changing selection of material from the Collections.
St Andrews Preservation Trust Museum
The Trust maintains a local social history collection, which includes most of the contents of a local dentist practice and a local chemist shop.
Tayside Medical History Museum
Jointly managed by the NHS and the University of Dundee Museum Services, the Medical History Museum includes a wide range of material representing the history of medicine in Tayside and a general history of medicine throughout Scotland.
University of Dundee Archive Services
Collections include records of the Tayside Health Board covering Boards of Management, hospitals and asylums in Dundee, Perth and Angus; archives relating to teaching and research in medicine carried out at the University; papers of local organisations and individuals with medical connections; and archives relating to medical missionaries who practised overseas.
University of Dundee Museum Services
University Collections of art, science and natural history. The university has medical collections covering anatomy, pathology, biology and physiology and has joint responsibility for the Tayside Medical History Museum.
University of St Andrews
The University’s science collections include items relating to the teaching of physics and astronomy, chemistry, psychology, anatomy and pathology, and the Bell Pettigrew Museum collection of Natural History.
